Right now I am feeling very stressed. It seems like when it rains it pours. A good family friend died last night. I don't know how I feel about it. See he got sick about a year ago, a side effect of a medicaion aggravated a bug he picked up way back when he fought in Vietnam. and ended up in a coma with a brain infection. He never was the same after that. He had dementia and had to be put in a nursing home. (he was only in his 50's) He became a different person and his family lost the...

I feel like we live in a culture on the go. People are always busy, overbooked and full of plans. Our food is made to be on the go, Our cars not only get us from point a to point b, thy entertain us with CD's Dvd's and communication systems. Things we own must be small so we can grab them and go at a moments notice. Grab your laptop, your phone with wireless internet (alway have to be conected), your i-pod (do you really need all 4000 songs you own at a touch of the button?) I am gul...

A few weeks ago Jaysen bought a ridicously expensive Ipod. To be honest I didn't see the whole big deal about them. (Istill don't really) But he really digs it, and he deserves nice things. But last night I decided to check out I-tunes, and I was impressed. It ws easy to navigate, had previews of all the songs and had whole cds I wanted to buy from 4-10 dollars. I didn't buy and albums, but I did buy a few songs. The song quality was excellent, you can store the songs on your compouter...

Today we brought home our new 8 month old baby boy named Jefferson. He is a tiny little guy with red hair and green eyes. He really likes to be held and playing with balls. He is a healthy eater and adorable to boot. We are lucky for this new addition to our Family. Our new baby boy was adopted from Anmal Ark shelter in MN, he is a welcome new mwmber in our family. He joins our other cat Truman also from Animal ark. So now we have two awesome cats. Harry S. Truman and Thomas Jefferso...

So most of you all are aware of the current joe user drama that has been unfolding. I feel really upset by this situation, because I have spent emotion and prayer for somebody who alledgedly is only making up characters. Does Joeuser have a policy against people who make up crap like this? Is this what we want our community to be? A bunch of lies, where "real" relationships can't be formed because there are psycho's out there that make up LIES? I understand on the internet as in l...

I was thinking today. In Febuary the day I left for Hawaai it was -20 degrees (F) . The last two days (july 20th and 21st) here it was in the 90's. Only in Minnesota can there be a 110 degree temperature difference in 6 months, Don't you just love it?

I have been thinking about this a lot lately and after reading some of Dharma's articles where she referenced peole woh "B.S." I had to give my 2 cents. Why do people feel the need to lie, to tell half truths and make up stories? Do they realize that no good comes of it? How do you benefit? I think that lying is the ultimate for of disrespect. Not only to the person(s) you are lying to, but to your self. Why can't you be yourself? Why do you have to lie? Is it a self defense? Like a ...

On Sunday it was my poppa's 74th birthday. Our whole family went to me grandma and poppa's to celebrate. It was really nice to be able to see everyone again. Everyone came except my sister(she had to work) and my Cousins Jamie, Kuzuko, and there son Kentaro. (They are in Japan) We had Pizza and snacks and visited. My poppa can be kind of grumpy when there are lots of people around, topped by the fact he just got out of a one week hospital stay, but I think he truley enjoyed us being there....

I bought Maroon 5's live CD this weekend and am very impressed. I had been told by my cousin Casey that Maroon 5 was the best live show she had ever seen. The CD does not dissapoint. I found myself singing along to the songs I knew from radio, and finding new favorites in the ones I had not been luck enough to hear. I really like the song "She will be loved". I was blasting it. I know it is on sale for $7.99 this week at Target, so you should pick it up. 8 bucks for a great CD isn't...

A favorite band of mine recently changed there name to Dropping Daylight due to copyright issues. Their last CD under there former name(Sue Generis) I somehow had not bought. So I bought it last night before I would not be able to due to name change. Let me tell you.... I wish I had not waited this long. It is so damn good. I found myself putting it on a loop in my stereo and just listening to it over and over. The lyrics are strong, but the music is somthing else. Talk about talent. It is...

Yesterday was only the second day the newset Ikea store was open. Lucky for me I had the day off and it is close to my house. Let me tell you, it is quite awesome! First of all it is Huge, unbelivably huge. It is three floors. Think three home depots stacked on eachother. It has amazingly neat showrooms full of furniture, furnishings and fun products. Second of all, it is CHEAP. The stuff is really trendy and modern, any had has somthing for everyone. It is all resonably priced, so muc...

Tonight as I got off work, I called my husband at work. (He works PT at applebees in the summer to supplement his teaching checks.) I was planning on stopping there for a little supper and was letting him know I ws on my way. When I called the host told me he hadn't shown up for work that day. Jaysen is one of the most responsible persons I know, so that was completly out of character. I was a little worried, so I called home. He was not at home, so of course what do I think. "Ther...

Hubby and I just got back from a midnight showing of Anchorman starring Will Ferral. I am a huge fan of his, he was one of the best SNL characters EVER!!! Most of the movies he is in I don't expect to come out with a profound new look on life, just looking for a few laughs. This movie offered that, It had a few laughs and a 5 minute sequence that had me and the rest of the audience in stiches. But some of the parts were stupid and overdone, but generally enjoyable, I give this movie...

I have a problem and that is my sister. We are 2 and a half years apart. I have always thought of us as being close, but apparently I am wrong in that fact. It seems she does not care for me very much. She is 19 and is becoming a very selfish person, which makes me sad. She did not even give my mom a card gor mothers day, and did not give my Dad a fathers day present either, She did not acknowledge my birthday either, Now I am not complaining about not getting a gift, because I could c...
