Last Friday and Saturday were great days. I felt good, wasn't nauseous, and ate well. I had a lot of energy, and even went out to dinner with Jays parents Friday night, and went looking for cribs with my parents on Saturday. Then I paid for my two good days with two bad. Yesterday I felt lethargic all day, full of body aches and crabby to boot. I was restless all night and kept waking up every 2 hours. Then today I felt lethargic and still achey, nauseous, and found it hard to eat much. Th...

Well tommrow I am at the 9 week point in my pregnancy which means in a few weeks we are past the first trimester. I hope that brings no nausea, and a healthier appitite. I am doing a pretty good job of eating, although most everything I gag on, but I keep telling myself it's for the baby, and force it down. In about 2 weeks I visit my wonderful doctor and hopefully we will be able to hear our little ones heartbeat. I can't wait! This new blessing has forced a lot of decisions on J...

During this last week it seems my sense of smell has heightend. It is a pain in the butt! All these smells are making me puke! I catch a whiff of somthing, and all of a sudden I am sick to my stomach. The smell of dish soap, pickles, food cooking, or other things that normally don't bother me, send me in a nausous tail spin.. I have all the air filters on in the house... but it seems my nose will find somthing offensive, no matter what I do.

The family I nanny for once in a while, went out for thier anniversery this weekend. I spent Sunday at 9 am to Monday at 10am watching the 3 kids.... I am wiped out! They have a 2 year old, a 5 year old and an 8 year old, all full of energy! We spent a busy Sunday, playing games and such. The 2 year old who ussually takes a 3 hour nap took only an hour long one. So She was a little cranky. It was interesting bringing 3 kids to target and grocery shopping, a very good practice of bala...

On October 27th my poppa died. I was at the apatment of his and my grandmas, when my mom and I went in to check his breathing and pulse, and found neither. As we waited for the ambulance I lay next to the body of my poppa, holding him and sobbing as he was gone, and I couldn't believe it. I had just been talking to him 20 minutes before! He hugged me and told me how much he loved me, and I knew in that moment his love was true and bigger than the whole world. His funeral was Novembe...

In a little over an hour I will be going to my second interview for a nanny position for an awesome family with a 6-year-old girl. The mom seems really nice and has the same parenting style that I do, and the daughter is a blast, a really cute and funny little girl. I meet the dad tonight also. I hope it all goes well, I went into my first interview and was really honest, and didn't bs around, which I think actually helped. I feel bad though because they invited me over for dinner tonig...

After a very long and late shift at work, I was super excited to pick up french fries at McDonalds on my way home. I had a dollar with me so I was all set to get my dollar fry. As I exited the freeway I saw that there was a homeless guy with a sign saying, "looking for a warm meal, please help" . It was freezing and raining so I stopped to give him the dollar instead. I roll down my window and hand it to him, and do I get a thank you. NO.... I get, "Can't you spare anymore, I need more ...

Yesterday at work I had an older female cutomer (maybe in her fifties or sixties) tell me "I think you are anorexic". I told her no... and she pressed on, "Well I am a dietician, and you look anorexic." I told her no and said "I have celiac disease, so it is really hard for me to put on weight." I used to get upset and cry when people said this, but I am so used to their rude comments that it now just makes me mad. Where does she get off telling me how I look. Does she go up to fat peop...

As a disclaimer, I am hearing and this is my opionion. I apoligize in advanced if it offends anyone. A discussion among friends and myself, along with the AWARE Fair tommorow, has really got me fired up on the subject of cochlear implants (CI) in deaf children. I am completly against implants in deaf children. I think it is invasive, not effective, and a slap in the face to deaf culture. In adults, I flex my opinion a bit more, because I think as an adult you can make an informed deci...

It's official... I need a maid. My house is becoming a pit. My floors need to be mopped and my bookcases are quite dusty. I need to get my winter clothes out of storage and figure out where the heck they are going to go, as space is quite limited. I need to go through and get rid of clothes I have not worn latley. Why wasn't I born wealthy, so I could pay someone to do it, or would have time to do it myself. Bah!

Jaysen refuses to go to a barber or hair stylist to get his hair cut. He thinks it a waste of money and does it at home. It had been about 3 weeks since his last cut and he was deciding whether to trim it, or do a shorter buzz cut. He decided on the short buzz, and accidently put the wrong gaurd on. Of course (since the common sense did not prevail) He ran the clippers down the middle of his head, and was shocked. I now have a bald close shaven head hubby! Thank goodness that his hair g...

We have an absolutly crazy cat named Thomas Jefferson. He is about 10 or 11 months old and full of energy. He thinks the world is his toy, and although he has every cat toy ever made, he likes to play with household items. He has started stealing my tampons out of the bathroom cuboard. What a weirdo! I keep taking them away and tried locking him out of the bathroom, but he keeps sneaking in and grabing one out. Then he defends his "toy" and chases it around the house pushing it away from m...
