THank God this week is over! I don't know about the rest of you but I seemed to have a hectic and horrible week. Is it the weather that makes extra stress seem unbearable? I am looking foward to a show tonight in Minneapolis. There are 5 local bands, 3 of whom I have never heard of but Sur Generis is playing so they are definatly worth going. There is a lot of pressure on this to redeem my week. Hubby I and friend Andy are going. YAY.... fun to come.... I hope!

I have been completey stressed out these last few days and today. I feel like I am at the edge of a nervous breakdown. With everything going on I felt as if I was losing my grip on the controls of my life. I just sat down after a trip to the food co-op with my vanilla chai tea latte and a bowl of organic Strawberries. I feel renewed. What is it about good food that can feed not only the body, but also the spirit. I will make today a good day!

As my previous blog shared, my new city stole my car. I just got back from the impound lot, where I was tenth in a line of people that also had thier car towed due to street sweeping. Those assholes damaged my car. The broke my drivers side mirror, and sctached up the passesnger side of the car. And what do I havd to do? PAY THEM. I am going to court to fight the ticket which is $30, but I can not get back the 140 impound fee, or the cost of all the damage they did to my car. We ha...

Right now I am fuming, This afternoon I left my new apartment to go to an appointment and lo and behold my car was missing. Calls to the police station and impound lot went unanswered. Finally 3 hours later I speak to an actual person and find out the stupid city of Minneapolis towed my car! Bastards.... The reason: Street cleaning. Now I like clean street as much as the next person. But how am I to know when they clean the streets. 1) I have only lived here 2 days. 2)They posted absolutly...

Yesterday was only the second day the newset Ikea store was open. Lucky for me I had the day off and it is close to my house. Let me tell you, it is quite awesome! First of all it is Huge, unbelivably huge. It is three floors. Think three home depots stacked on eachother. It has amazingly neat showrooms full of furniture, furnishings and fun products. Second of all, it is CHEAP. The stuff is really trendy and modern, any had has somthing for everyone. It is all resonably priced, so muc...

Lately I have been feeling sorry for myself. Not like a "I hate my life" type of pity, but a more of a "booo-hoo woe is me." I feel like I am not happy with where I am in life. I know part of this is to do with things I can somewhat control, and I am fine with that. It is the embracing of thigs uncontrorable that drives me to tears. I am tonight writing about things I can not control, that make my life hard. First off I am sick. I think often back to what my now husband wa...

Now That I have moved out of the suburbs and into downtown Minneapolis, I have had many eye-opening experiences that are starting to change the way I think. Not a day goes by where I don't see a homless person. On the drive home from work it is one on each corner of the freeway exit. They have shifts and days I 'm starting to notice. The Native in his forties, begging for cash is there saturdays afternoon. The black man in his 30's only want cash and smokes. The day I gave him a lighter, h...

I am super excited! A wonderfully nice co-worker of mine is switching shifts with me so I can get to go to my audition this Saturday. I ralked to the head of the team that is casting, and preference will be given to models over 5ft 6in... Woo hoo I am 5'8!!! And thin lanky chicas, a I skinny as can be and lanky like a giraffe..... So I am hopeful, but not overally, that I will get to do this, since there is not a lot of chances to do runway work in Minnesota... So wish me luck!

Why do things always want to happen on the same day. I have started a new job and I have my first Sat. Night closing shift coming up, which of course is on the same night as my audition for a runway show I really want to do. I need more current headshots for my Sat. audition which I can only go to if I can switch shifts with someone. Which is next to impossible because it is 1) a sat. night 2) only two other people in my store have the same position as me 3) is a later close than usual. Of...

I joined the wedge today. The Wedge is a food co-op a few bocks from my house. I began shopping at co-ops after I was diagnosed with celiac disease and found they offered a lot of gluten free foods. The Wedge has the friendliest employees I have ever seen. They are all so helpful, it is amazing, the will drop anything to help you out. They will order you special products if there is somthing you want that they don't have. They have the BEST produce section of organic fruits and vegis. T...
