Jayna turned 6 months old on Tuesday. I can'y believe my baby is growing up so fast! For her "half-birthday" her daddy and I took her to a kids concert at an indoor park, and we had dinner with her Grandparents and Aunt Jessica. My Grandma (Jayna's great-grandma) is a member of the local group of the red hat ladies. For those of you unfamilar with them, they are a group of ladies who lunch and do tons of social events (fashion shows, trips, plays and line dancing to name a few!) Tonight as I swayed with me my sweet baby girl... I felt so overjoyed. Her head on my shoulder, feeling her satin-soft cheek against my own,Her fuzzy soft hair wispy on my chin, her hand resting on a familar place. I felt Love, over-powering, knock you on the floor type love. Seeing those little eyelids fluttering as she nodded off to dreamland... It doesn't get any better than that. I don't even know how our dog George even got a hold of some of this stuff but he has a major chewing issue and I am at the end of my rope with him. Last week little Jayna went on her first plane ride to El Paso, Texas to visit Jaysen's family. Jayna met her great-grandparents and many cousins. I have been having a horrible last few days. On Thursday night we (Jayna and I) were at one of our moms groups and the most unimaginable thing happened. A baby died.... A little four week old boy stopped breathing. We thought he was sleeping, but he was not. I just can't believe this happened. We moved his tiny body to the floor and I began CPR. A couple of weekends ago we went out to the stables with my mom and dad to see my sister Monica in a horse show. We brought baby to meet the horses too! That is Grandma Jill (my mom) and Jayna meeting Lance Monica's horse. And Jayna in Auntie Monica's cowboy hat, my dad is holding her. Monica won one of her agility events with her other horse Gunner.
