When you are nine months pregnant.

Tonight Jay was working and I was BORED.

I decided I would install the base and car seat in our car. It has the latch system, so I really had to follow the directions closely. It was harder than I thought, but mostly because it is really hard to crawl around the back seat when you have a belly the size of Montana.
It took me a long time, because I was triple checking EVERYTHING. After almost an hour, I was sweating to death, but it was IN. It's in there so tight, so I hope I did it right!
We will bring it to the police station to have it inspected. I hope I did it correctly, but if I didn't it will be good to have a professional check it out. We still need to install the other base in our second car, but that doesnt have the latch system, so it will be a whole new lesson!
Now I need a baby to put in the seat.... did you hear that little one.... It's time for you to come!

Oh Joey - that has got to be the weirdest "nesting" I've heard of. And it sounds more stressful then reorganising the baby's room and packing and repacking your hospital bag.

heheh... I already had organized her room a few times today, scrapbooked her ultrasound photos, and read all the instruction manuals on her baby equipment. I now know the safty information for a swing, pack n play, high chair, bouncy seat, stroller, infant and convertible carseat.
I don't know how much nesting I am really doing since I have not been cleaning. (my kitchen is a mess) I just get focused on these little projects. Last week Jaysen and i cleaned out the garage, I cleaned out our closet saturday, and Sunday organized our utility room. I should really clean the bathrooms, and that kind of stuff, instead of just re organizing random things.

See I'd call that nesting - cause it's all the same suff I did.

Have you got a "Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium" (the musical thing that attaches to the crib)
Saved my life!!

It has 3 settings so it's less stimulating then a mobile if you only have the music not the bubbles and lights.
Elana still turns on "twinkle twinkle little star" to go to sleep (naps and bedtime)
Honestly the best present we ever got.

I think I am going to have to get that, You are the third person to tell me how awesome it is. Our travel swing is the ocean wonders one. Even our cat likes it.

"Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium"

My youngest loved that thing!

Janders: Hehe, you're going to be so happy that you did that. I'm sure you know that the hospital won't let you take your baby home with you unless you have a car seat and it is installed properly (and they check!). Checking with the police station is a great idea.

Having that car seat installed is just one less hurdle you'll have to jump in getting that little one home.
