That is me, a pregnant woman on fire. I never thought at 22 I would be experiencing such horrible heartburn and hot flashes. Pregnancy REALLY changes your body.

I have no temp. control right now, I am either boiling hot or freezing. My chest is on fire whenever I eat, or lay down which has made falling asleep next to impossible!

3 more months till I get to hold that baby girl in my arms...... 3 more months that the temp just keeps gettting hotter!!!

So glad your pregnancy is progressing well (besides the fire!).

I remember having heartburn with my second child...it's awful! You know the wive's tale about heartburn during pregnancy, right? (in case you don't "they" say that lots of heartburn means the baby will have a lot of hair!).

Best wishes!

Tex~ How are you! It's been a while. this is OT, but I can't post on your blog.......

Hey Joey - I had ALOT of heartburn with my girl. It was shocking I was sick more with heartburn in the last trimester then I was in the first - nausea for morning sickness but no actual being sick. I was with the heartburn I got very very little sleep.

ICE - ice chips, ice cubes, water ice-blocks (little cordial lots of water frozen) it was the only thing that helped. Also I found it was exaserbated by tomato (pizza, pasta, curry - anything with a tomato base)

And I don't know about alot of hair - Elana was born with a bit of hair but she lost it all quite quickly and is still growing it back even now.

Luckily you're heading into the winter months so you should cool down a bit. I had Elana in the first "official" week of Summer but it was SO hot in the last trimester and you know all about the pregnant woman being like 5 degrees hotter then a non pregnant woman.
This is why if I decide to have another one I'll be planning to conceive between October and January (very latest) to give birth July-September missing summer completely

Wow, that's weird...I'll check my settings...I know you aren't blacklisted or anything...I've never blacklisted anyone (and especially not you) but maybe there's something set wrong or something...I'll look into it..

Well since i've never been pregnant i wouldnt know what to say or what it feels like, but it doesnt sound to comfortable. But trina sounds like she knows a great deal about it, ice sounds like the answer to it.

Good luck cooling down

Oh dah

I knew that!! - I knew that I'M heading into winter why would I think you were - I'm such a goober.

You're in the exact same boat I was in in 2003. Well my advice stands ICE - lots and lots of it.

And a cold washer on the back of your neck helped me alot!

Eat very small meals and eat frequently.  Avoid anything acidic (like orange juice or tomato sauces) and anything greasy.

Get used to the hot flashes as they may not stop after you have the baby.  (Mine didn't)

Luckily, once you hold that baby, you can't really remember all the "bad" stuff
