I have quite the active little baby inside me. Our little peanut is quite fond of kicking and moving around my little belly. Baby seems to be most active when I lay down for a rest, apparently baby is on their own schedule!!!!
I had a dr. visit last week, and everything is going well, I had gained 4 pounds since the last visit so I am happy about that, hope that I can start gaining 1-2 lbs a week at minimum so baby can stay healthy. I am really starting to get my appetite back, and having less nausea so hopefully the weight gain will come easily!
Baby is healthy and growing. He/she is very active, and was kicking at the doppler they use to check baby's heartbeat. The little kicking noises made both the doctor and I laugh and my mom get teary eyed. The doctor had to keep moving the doppler because the baby kept kicking it when she would move it to hear the heartbeat. It was such a blessing to listen to that strong hearbeat (160bpm) for a minute.
I will have to go in before my next scheduled check up, to get the ok from my doctor to fly. Jaysens mom invited us to Texas with her for a 3 day weekend in 2 1/2 weeks. It will be so nice to get to warm up a bit after the -20degree (F) weather we've been having and to show off my baby belly to Jaysens grandparents, aunts and cousins!!
Before we go to Texas I also have an appointment with a specialist to make sure I and baby are absorbing nutrients properly. With my celiac, and history of malnutrition, we don't want to take chances. So far baby looks good, and I am gaining weight, so it is only a precaution, but best to be on the safe side.
I am still praying for guidance on what to do about my employment situation. I am applying for some receptionist work, and also as an aide for children with autism.
Thank you to all of you who have and continue to pray for our baby and me. I can feel the blessings of this child, and they are awesome.
