On Friday I was so excited to have a weekend off. Saturday and Sunday was the first weekend off I had in at least a month, so of course what happens..... I get sick.

I was not feeling very well Friday night, not hungry, feeling lethargic. We went grocery shopping and by the time we got home, I went to bed, hoping to feel better in the morning.

No Luck~ Woke up with a fever, sore throat, runny nose and feeling as if I had been hit by a mack truck. I canceled all my Saturday plans with friends and settled in for a day of water and apple juice and a lot of rest.

Sunday showed no improvement. Now my nose was raw and runny, and I had zero energy. Getting up to refil my juice glass felt like a hike up Mt. Everest. I canceled dinner at my families. which I was really bummed out about and went to bed early.

Monday Morning showed no mercy. I pulled myself out of bed, tried to eat some cereal, threw that up, so decided to heat up some apple juice and have that for breakfast. Then I took some advil for my fever, and sudefed for the runny nose, and trotted pff to work, because I had to train my new manager. Oh yes you read that right, the guy they hired for the promotion I went for, I now have to train.

I felt like crap , and had to hear all day, "you don't look so good". Like I don't know that I look like shit? Any way to make matters worse, I went to have a break and a warm drink, and my eye started hurting. Turns out my contact ripped completly in half. So now I am sick, and blind. I couldn't read off my clipboard unless I put my face to it.

I gave up. I called my hubby at school to come get me. (since I couldn't drive, because I couldn't see) and left work early. By this time I am so dizzy from walking around with one working eye for an hour and a half, and exhausted from being sick, that I get home so I can call our assest protection team so they don't tow my car for leaving it overnight., an d collapse on the couch and dont wake up for three hours. I then woke up watched TV for an hour and had some supper.

I am feeling a bit better now, My throat still kills, but the fever has gone down, and the runny nose is now stuffy. I can deal with that.

I just wish I didnt have to get up at 6 am to pick up my car, so I can get to work come tommrow afternoon.

Aww, Joey!  I feel for you.  I had what you now have last week, and it kicked my ass.

Feel better soon....
