I would like to preface this by saying I have never not been offered a job that I have interviewd for, so today was a first lesson in disapointment.

Last month I applied for a promotion and have been working my butt off to prove myself. All my superiors kept telling me how impressed they are with me and so on...

So I finally got my interview for the positon a week ago. The interview went alright, and I knew that there were other applicants that they would interview before I found out. Today I found out they were offering someone else the postion.

What a slap in the face. I didn't realize homw much I really wanted the promotion. all I have to say is that the person that they offered it to better be great, because I will be dissapointed if they gave it to some slacker.

I guess on the up side, my manager had only good things to say to me, and felt confident that I would be able to be promoted to a leadership position in the next month if I continue to "prove my leadership abilities".

So hopefully I will be blogging next month about my new promotion...

That does suck. I think I'd feel the same way you do.

I'm sure you will! That's a great attitude to take about it. Best wishes.
