On the move!
Published on April 21, 2004 By Janders In Home & Family
This week Jaysen and I begin a new adventure... we are moving to downtown Minneapolis! We are moving to an awesome building that was built in the ealy 1900;s, and was a huge hotel. Their is really cool architecture, and huge ceilings. Although my sister says the common hallways remind her of the shining....

WE love our new neighborhood, it is such a drastic change from living in the suburbs our whole life. Instead of farm fields and lakes, we see the Minneapolis skyscrapers. The culture of the neighborhood is amazing. We are definitely the minority... well me more so than Jaysen. We wlaked around the neighborhood for over an hour and I was the only blonde to be found! : ) Hearing a million different languages and cultures together is a culture shock.

So, this weekend we move out of the suburbs and garages, and into the "big city" and lack of parking! There are adventures to come!

You know, it's really cool that you're from Minnesota too. There's lots of people on JoeUser from MN... I think that's cool!

Sounds exciting. If one of the skyscrapers looks like it has arms, get of the way quickly or it might squish you when it tried to give you five.

Ya know, just a friendly warning.

Muggaz~ I think Mighty Ducks are Anahiem. Although the movies where filmed here! Our Hockey team is the Minnesota Wild, it used to be the North Stars (which is now Dallas Stars.

I don't pay much attention to hockey, or "Home Simpson"

DAN! What? No Homey??? That is just sad.

Janders~ I am about 2 and a half hours west of the cities right now, but my hometown is about 40 minutes south of Duluth. And yes, Ducks are Anaheim, and the North Stars rocked.

Anyhow, I think I've found a signature....

Say, did you move into the Cedar Riverside area?

There may be good delis there, but it is a bit of a haul to get to a grocery store.

"DAN! What? No Homey??? That is just sad."

In all seriousness, I've never been much of a TV watcher, preferring the more interactive entertainment types. Like... computers...
